Piranha PlantUgh,,, plant already has the worst winrate on this website, IMA MAKE IT WORSE HAHAHAAHAHA Plant has no options for neutral, all of their moves has massive lag and very dramatic and extended hitboxes, making them bad. dashattack is TERRIBLY unsafe on shield, so bait it out as much as you can, they have no landing options, other than Spallow, but if they know spallow, then ggs I guess, its a plus on parry move, that is also a projectile, so its only counter is counters. otherwise plant has terrible neutral. landing nair is unsafe on hit until around 100%, then he can true combo into jab consistently! Jab doesn't actually tech chase, just DI upwards, then you can escape the tech situation. if you can't figure that out just tech away, he is way to slow to catch it. Patooie is strong, but if plant pulls it out, if you react, its easy to just punish it with a grab or ftilt, as long as it doesn't fall on you. if they shoot it to the side right after spawning it, you are completely safe to punish by just running under it as it has a massive blind spot. Plants recovery is exploitable, as he can pressure you offstage, up until he falls, then he has to commit to upb, which has a big hurtbox, its easy to 2frame if you catch their stalling attempts, or just have a good ledge hitter move, like byleth and sephiroth. Just be careful when ledge trumping as he has a great counter to that with drop ledge patooie, which is an instant reversal basically. spallow is when plant eats a patooie and lands, and chucks it at the same time, which gives the eating animation, but also shoots it forward at full strength. this takes away most of its lag, letting plant act instnatly. he can grab your parry, they can grab your parry or shield for free, downsmash, downtilt, or since its the full damaging move, it might just kill anyway. for plants advantage state, when you are offstage or on ledge, idk just mixup your options and pray. patooie can linger for a lot logner than you expect, and it can hit ledge sometimes. Ive also found that if patooie misses hitting ledge, its hard for plant to punish ledgehang, but thats just me. Sorry for the wall of text, and sorry to my plant brothers for kicking us while we're down, but duty calls.
