How players beat Sora

Using Sora requires a bit of practice; it’s easy to use, obviously, but you do need to be mindful of a few things. First, keep your distance from your opponent, as Sora is somewhat vulnerable when floating or on the ground. Second, use your powers in specific areas: if you’re on platforms, use fire and ice to set up a combo, or perform a smash attack (either neutral or directional). With the lightning power, you can use it off-stage, or employ it as a distraction to set up a grab. And third, use your normal attacks or tilts while in the air; most of your powerful attacks are aerial rather than ground-based. While you can use these attacks on the ground, they don't land enough hits to be very effective. Just a heads-up: this is based on my experience with Sora over the three years I spent playing in competitive tournaments. If anyone wants to correct me, I’m open to hearing it—this is just my personal opinion that I’m sharing.
